This week we were back at Pingelly for the last time this season.

We were greeted by the Pingelly Tourism Group who have completed their new kiosk and catering headquarters. The PTG have been great supporters of the Sheepdog community providing us with hot and cold breakfasts and lunches at each trial.

The sheep for this event were black tag ewes which reportedly had not seen too many dogs. They brought the challenge to the dogs who had thier work cut out to control them. Many runs ended at the race. The open dogs faired a little better and those that got to the pen reserved a spot in the final.

Four triallers completed an Encourge course with N Horder and Pilbara Indie taking first place.

Peter Doherty won the Novice with Ramulam Sixpence 88 points from Peter Gorman and Pendalup Holly 84 points.

The Improver was won by Len Morton with Yilgangie Izzie 79 points from Rose Cassidy who had a fine run with Floroy Bella 75 points.

The Open was won by Simon Leaning with the remarkable Marionvale Di 82, 83, 165 from Grant Cooke with Pendalup Gilbert with had 66 points in the first round and had a blistering 90 point run to gain a total of 156 points.

Certainly some real star power at this event.

This week Pingelly club stalwart Jill Wallace was not able to attend due to a rather nasty eye injury. Her Secretary duties were completed by Tracy, Tanya and their team of helpers. Thank you.
We all wish Jill a speedy recovery and hope to see out and about soon.
