The weather was near perfect for the Corrigin Yard trial this year, which is run in conjunction with the Corrigin show, and run by the Great Southern Sheepdog Club.
Not so perfect though, were the sheep. They are usually fairly difficult at Corrigin though.
18 month old woolly merinos that could stand and fight or split and run if pushed too hard.
Most people struggled at the first gather, as the sheep wanted to re-join their mates behind the fence. Once in the smaller yard they were a little better but at times refused to go up the race or the draft and just turned in circles.
As usual though it was a relaxed friendly trial. The spectators enjoyed the action, and the competitors enjoyed the challenge.
